Privacy Policy

What We Store

• Shared Content: The text you submit is stored in our data store until it expires. Content is not indexed for search engines.
• Expiry Metadata: Each share has a creation timestamp and an expiration time (1 day, 1 week, 1 month, or 3 months).
• Operational Logs: We may store basic logs (timestamps, request IDs, rate-limit counters) to maintain reliability and prevent abuse.
• Shortened URLs: URL shortener records include the original URL, short ID, creation time, and click count.

What We Don't Collect

• No passwords or traditional account data.
• No tracking pixels, invasive analytics, or behavioral profiling.
• No sale of personal data.
• No storage of wallet private keys. Wallet connections are read-only for balance verification.

On-Chain Data

When content is registered on Solana via Program Derived Addresses, the slug-to-content mapping becomes part of the public blockchain. This data is immutable and transparent by design. Content stored on Arweave is permanent and cannot be deleted.

Encryption

Private content is encrypted client-side using AES-256 before leaving your browser. Encryption keys are derived from your wallet signature. Neither LYNQN nor any infrastructure operator has access to the decryption key or the plaintext content.

Content Responsibility

LYNQN is a conduit for user-submitted content. We are not responsible for the contents of shared links. If you encounter illegal or inappropriate material, use the report mechanism on the share page so we can review and act accordingly.

Third-Party Services

We use infrastructure providers including Vercel (hosting), Upstash/Redis (storage), Arweave (permanent storage), and IPFS (content delivery). These providers may process IP addresses and request metadata as part of normal operation.

Data Retention

Shares are automatically removed when they expire. Operational logs and rate-limit counters are short-lived. Content stored on Arweave is permanent by design and cannot be deleted. We reserve the right to remove content earlier if it violates our terms or applicable law.

Security

We take reasonable measures to safeguard stored content, including encryption at rest and in transit. However, no system is perfectly secure. Do not share secrets, private keys, or sensitive credentials. For sensitive data, enable client-side encryption before sharing.

Your Choices

• Do not share sensitive or personally identifiable information.
• Use shorter expiration times for content that should not persist.
• Enable encryption for private content.
• Be mindful of what you share publicly, especially on permanent storage.
